Iranian Forces Allegedly Kill 260 Afghan Migrants Near Border

Iranian forces allegedly killed at least 260 Afghan migrants by opening fire near the Kalgan border crossing, as reported by Iranian-based human rights group, Haalvsh.

Survivors shared horrifying accounts, stating that the migrants were attacked by Iranian military forces.

According to Haalvsh, two survivors claimed around 300 migrants were attempting to cross the border when they were fired upon and targeted with RPGs, leaving dozens wounded.

In a statement, Haalvsh reported that Afghan migrants were ambushed by Iran’s military near the Kalgan-Saravan border on Sunday evening, with many killed and others injured.

Images from survivors showed multiple gunshot wounds on victims. Iranian officials have yet to respond to the incident.
