The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has reported that the Israeli army is utilizing explosive-laden robots with explosives to carry out widespread destruction and killings in northern Gaza, which includes acts of massacres, deliberate killings, enforced starvation, and forced displacement.
The rights organization stated in a report released on Monday that it has received multiple accounts of the Israeli army employing remotely detonated robots, causing extensive damage to homes and buildings and resulting in significant casualties, while obstructing the work of civil defense and ambulance teams.

According to the Geneva-based organization, the use of booby-trapped robots violates international law, as they are considered indiscriminate weapons that cannot be restricted to military objectives. These weapons can strike civilians or civilian properties indiscriminately, making their use in residential areas a crime against humanity.
The report indicates that the Israeli army has effectively isolated northern Gaza from the city of Gaza by deploying vehicles and creating barriers from rubble and sand, all while providing drone cover. A resident trapped near the Al-Qassabi neighborhood described a massive explosion on October 9, recalling that the blast was louder than anything they had previously experienced, even more so than airstrikes. The explosion, attributed to an explosive-laden robot, destroyed multiple homes in one detonation, with the Israeli army continuing to detonate the robots without regard for civilian presence.
The report notes that the Israeli army first used these robots in Gaza in May during its incursion into the Jabalia refugee camp and has since escalated its operations of destruction in northern Gaza through aerial bombardments, explosive robots, and explosives planted in homes.
Those who survive the bombardments face the risk of dying from hunger or thirst, as Israeli forces are preventing aid from entering northern Gaza, while also destroying bakeries and water wells.
Since launching a military assault in northern Gaza on October 6, the Israeli army has killed and injured numerous people amid a severe siege on the area.
Over 200,000 individuals remain trapped in the rubble of destroyed homes and shelters, despite Israel’s repeated evacuation orders, while another 200,000 face starvation and bombardments, putting more than 400,000 residents at risk of forced starvation, displacement, and death.
