Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon’s eastern regions have killed at least 47 people and left dozens more injured, including women and children. The attacks targeted border areas between Lebanon and Syria, with several individuals in critical condition, according to local hospitals. The Israeli military claims the strikes were aimed at Hezbollah positions, with prior warnings given to civilians to evacuate the targeted areas.
In retaliation, Hezbollah launched ten rockets into northern Israel, specifically hitting the town of Nahariya. The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed the death of one Israeli citizen, though most of the rockets were intercepted. This marks a significant escalation in the ongoing violence between Hezbollah and Israel, which has already claimed over 100 lives, including more than 70 Israeli soldiers.
