Ayatollah Khamenei is leading a public sermon during Friday prayers at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla mosque in central Tehran. This prayer follows a commemoration ceremony for Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.
In his address, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to Nasrallah as “my brother, my dear and my pride, the beloved face of the Islamic world, and the eloquent voice of the region’s nations, [and] the shining jewel of Lebanon.”

He emphasized the importance of honoring Nasrallah, stating, “I deemed it necessary to pay tribute to Mr. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (May God bless him and grant him peace) during the Friday prayer in Tehran and to share some important messages with everyone.”
Khamenei noted that the audience for this sermon is the entire Islamic world, with a special focus on the beloved nations of Lebanon and Palestine.
The last time Ayatollah Khamenei led Friday prayers was in January 2020, following Iran’s missile attack on a US army base in Iraq in retaliation for the assassination of anti-terror commander Brigadier Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
