Multiple Muslim Countries Considering to Normalize Ties with Israel

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has suggested that “six or seven” Islamic nations could potentially normalize ties with Israel, following the possible inclusion of Saudi Arabia in the Abraham Accords.

The Accords have already been signed by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. However, Cohen did not specify the names of these potential countries in his statement. Experts believe that this omission may be due to the sensitive situation in Libya.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also spoke about the possibility of normalizing ties with Saudi Arabia during his address at the 78th United Nations General Assembly. He emphasized that peace with Saudi Arabia could lead to broader peace between the Muslim world and Jews. However, there is an ongoing debate about the involvement of Palestinians in regional diplomacy.

It’s worth noting that while Cohen suggested the potential for normalization with these Muslim countries, there are no specific details or official agreements in place. The situation remains fluid and complex, with various geopolitical factors at play in the region.
