According to Dhirendra, the SHO of IP Estate police station, Singh’s father had requested a relative in Delhi to check on him after repeated calls went unanswered. The relative found Singh hanging from the ceiling fan in his room at Parsi Anjuman Dharamshala and immediately informed the authorities.

The incident has sparked concern and grief across the medical fraternity, with many reflecting on the pressures faced by young students in such demanding fields.
