For drivers, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has some excellent news to start the new year. On December 31, 2023, and January 1, 2024, there will be free parking for the general public for two days, adding to the specialness of the long weekend.
Technical testing and customer service centres will close on January 1.

The Red and Green lines of the Dubai Metro will run from 8 a.m. on December 31, 2023, until 11:59 p.m. on January 1, 2024, for individuals who depend on public transportation. The Dubai Tram, meanwhile, will run from 9 a.m. on December 31, 2023, to 1 a.m. on January 2, 2024.
