Saudi Arabia Issues Updated Health Advisory for Hajj 2025

To ensure the safety and health of pilgrims, the Saudi Arabian government has imposed strict health restrictions for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

According to a health advisory sent to Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, only healthy individuals will be allowed to undertake the journey, with those suffering from serious illnesses being barred from traveling.

The advisory from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah specifies that individuals with conditions such as kidney, heart, lung, or liver diseases, cancer, dementia, infectious diseases like tuberculosis, children under 12, and pregnant women will not be permitted.

This decision is in response to the extreme weather conditions during the Hajj season.

Additionally, pilgrims will need to be vaccinated against meningitis, COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and polio.
