Saudi Arabia temporarily suspends visas for 14 countries, including Pakistan and India

Pakistan

Saudi Arabia has announced a temporary suspension of visa issuance for 14 countries, including Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, as part of preparations for the upcoming Hajj season. The ban impacts Umrah, business, and family visit visas.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision is aimed at preventing unauthorized Hajj participation and curbing illegal employment, which have contributed to overcrowding and disruption in the local labor market.

The suspension is expected to remain in effect until mid-June. During this period, travelers from the affected countries will not be able to apply for the mentioned visa categories.

Authorities have also warned that individuals attempting to bypass these restrictions may face a five-year entry ban. The visa process is expected to resume normally after the Hajj season concludes.
