A tragic helicopter crash at Porbandar airport in Gujarat claimed the lives of three Coast Guard crew members, including two pilots, on Sunday. The incident occurred at 12:10 pm during a routine training sortie, according to Porbandar Superintendent of Police Bhagirathsinh Jadeja.

The Coast Guard Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) crashed while attempting to land at Porbandar Airport. Although all three crew members were rescued from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital with severe burns, medical efforts were unsuccessful, and they succumbed to their injuries. Inspector Rajesh Kanmiya of Kamala Baug police station confirmed the fatalities.
Indian Coast Guard officials have acknowledged the deaths and stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash. This tragic event follows closely on the heels of another Coast Guard helicopter accident that occurred at sea just two months ago.
