Irish rock band U2 will be inducted into the Ivors Academy Fellowship at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards, joining legends like Paul McCartney and Elton John.

The Academy praised U2’s songwriting for its emotional depth and social activism, highlighting hits like With or Without You and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.
This marks the first time Irish songwriters have received the honor. The ceremony will take place in London on May 22.
