UAE Updates Visa Fees for Pakistani Trravelers

In an effort to streamline entry processes for tourists, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has revised visit visa fees for Pakistani nationals, effective from June 2024.

Under the new fee structure, a 30-day tourist visa for Pakistani citizens will cost AED 200, while a 60-day visa will be AED 300, both subject to a 5% value-added tax (VAT) in accordance with UAE taxation policies.

Applicants already in the UAE seeking to obtain or extend their visas will face additional charges, including AED 20 for Knowledge and Innovation Dirham fees and AED 500 for in-country processing.

To streamline the application process, individuals must submit a personal photo, a copy of their passport, their national identity card (if required), valid UAE medical insurance, and proof of onward or return travel. Applications can be processed through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website or its smart application.

The UAE’s decision to revise its visa fee structure reflects its commitment to improving transparency and accessibility in its tourism sector. By simplifying visa procedures and clarifying fees, the UAE aims to maintain its status as a top travel destination in the Gulf region.

Travelers are advised to consult the official GDRFA website or local UAE-based travel agencies for the latest information on visa requirements and application procedures.
