UK Begins Deporting Illegal Immigrants from Pakistan

The UK government has announced plans to deport illegal immigrants from 11 countries, including Pakistan, by the end of this year. The targeted nations also include Albania, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iraq, Jamaica, Nigeria, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe. To facilitate this, the British Home Office is seeking commercial support to help repatriate over 14,000 illegal immigrants, with the initiative being backed by the Labour Party.

The Home Office’s campaign emphasizes that individuals without a legal right to stay in the UK should return to their home countries. This is part of the UK’s broader strategy to manage illegal immigration and the influx of refugees, which has become a top concern for British voters following recent far-right riots targeting Muslims and migrants.

To further combat illegal immigration, the Home Office plans to hire 100 investigation officers to crack down on gangs smuggling asylum seekers into the UK. The aim is to increase deportations to levels not seen since 2018, reversing a recent decline. Employers hiring illegal workers will face strict penalties, including fines, business closures, and potential prosecution, with those caught working illegally being detained before deportation.
