In a recent development, the Awami National Party (ANP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken disciplinary action by suspending the basic membership of several individuals. This decision comes in response to the members violating party discipline by supporting candidates who were not officially endorsed by the party for the upcoming general elections.
The suspension of their memberships received approval from Shakeel Bashir Khan Umarzai, the Chairman of the Provincial Election Commission, in consultation with ANP’s district officials. The move underscores the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and unity among its members as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
