“Pakistan and India are traditional competitors, and there is significant enthusiasm for their matches,” Hockley commented, highlighting the global anticipation such a series would generate. He further expressed Cricket Australia’s preparedness to support and facilitate a tri-series involving these nations.

“We are prepared to back both teams for bilateral and tri-series engagements,” Hockley affirmed, underscoring Cricket Australia’s dedication to bringing these cricketing powerhouses together on the international stage.

However, Hockley acknowledged the complexities involved in organizing a series involving these two nations, emphasizing the need for coordination between the cricket boards and the governments of India and Pakistan. “The boards of both countries must initiate discussions, and we stand ready to assist with hosting,” he stated, noting that formal talks on the matter have yet to commence.
