The cabinet division recently released a letter describing public and optional holidays for the forthcoming year in order to enable public enquiries and planning. As a result, there will be three Eid-ul-Adha vacations on 29 June, 30 June, and 1 July, plus an additional holiday on 2 July, which falls on a Sunday, giving it a long weekend.

These dates are subject to vary dependent on the actual moon sighting. Once the moon has been officially observed, a separate announcement will be issued.

The final announcement regarding the moon sighting will be made by the Central Sighting Hilal Committee which convenes on the 29th day of every Islamic month.
