When she refused out of fear for her safety, the attacker shattered the window on the right side of her car, injuring her hand.

In a tearful video message, Mukherjee expressed concern about women’s safety in India, questioning, “If a woman can be attacked on a crowded street in the evening, imagine what could happen in a deserted area.”

Mukherjee also mentioned that despite the heartbreaking incident involving the female doctor, women’s safety in Kolkata remains a major concern. She expressed fear about what might have happened if the attack had occurred in a more isolated location.

In a video, she displayed the motorcycle used in the assault and showed the damage to her car.

The Kolkata police have claimed that the incident was not an attack but rather a traffic accident. They have since arrested the individual involved.
