The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced the likelihood of increased rainfall in Karachi on February 3 and 4, with the potential for heavy falls in certain areas accompanied by thunder. According to the PMD, a new western disturbance is expected to enter Balochistan on Thursday, triggering heavy showers in the port city in the subsequent days.
This weather system is also anticipated to bring rainfall to rural districts of Sindh, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and Qamber Shahdadkot on February 2 and 3. Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, and Thatta may experience rain a day later.

The current weather forecast for Karachi includes partly cloudy conditions today, with north-easterly winds from Balochistan likely to bring colder temperatures to the port city.
In Punjab, the PMD has advised that rainfed areas may remain under water stress conditions even after the anticipated downpours next week due to persistent dry and cold weather conditions. Citizens are urged to use water judiciously. The PMD’s advisory also notes that, due to stable weather conditions, most parts of the country can expect cold and dry weather in the upcoming week, with very cold conditions likely to persist in the plains of Punjab.
