Ollie Robinson Of England Gives Away a Record-Breaking 43 Runs In One Over

During a recent English County Championship match between Leicestershire and Sussex, England fast bowler Ollie Robinson delivered the most expensive over in county cricket history.

Ollie Robinson conceded 43 runs in a single over, which included six boundaries (four fours and two sixes) by Leicestershire’s Louis Kimber, along with a single. The over also saw Robinson bowling three no-balls, each contributing two runs to the batting team, totaling six additional runs.

Robinson’s 43-run over ranks as the second most expensive in the history of first-class cricket. The record for the most expensive over in first-class cricket belongs to New Zealand’s Robert Vance, who conceded 77 runs in a 23-ball over during a domestic season match in 1990, which included 17 no-balls.

Louis Kimber’s performance was notable beyond the over, as he also achieved a double century off just 100 balls in the same match. This achievement marks the second fastest double century in first-class cricket history. The fastest double century in first-class cricket was achieved by Afghanistan’s Shafiqullah Shafaq in 2018, who reached the milestone in just 89 balls.
