Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi described Pakistan as an “iron wall” in the fight against terrorism during his meeting with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy at the Ministry of Interior. The discussion focused on strengthening Pakistan–UK relations, bilateral cooperation, and development partnerships.
Naqvi praised the British government’s Upskill Programme for its vital role in combating organised crime, highlighting successful joint efforts in crime prevention. He also shared that Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force, with UK support, recently seized 4.3 tonnes of opium worth £22 million.

The UK Foreign Secretary thanked Pakistan for its assistance in the resettlement of Afghan refugees to the UK and expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Upskill Programme. Both sides expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation moving forward.
