In response to Lahore’s dangerously high pollution levels, the Punjab government has restricted public entry into parks, zoos, playgrounds, and museums. Lahore’s air quality has deteriorated significantly, making it the most polluted city globally for two days in a row.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in several areas of Lahore has exceeded 1,000, a level associated with severe health risks. Authorities have issued warnings about the hazardous air quality, advising residents to avoid outdoor activities and wear protective masks if necessary.
