The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted predominantly hot and dry conditions across most regions of the country, including Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, from June 2 to June 7.
Despite the prevailing heat, localized rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are expected in parts of northeastern Punjab, the Pothohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) during this period.

In Punjab, dry and hot weather will dominate, though scattered thunderstorms, duststorms, and rain may affect areas such as Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan from June 2 to 5. Balochistan is also expected to remain mostly dry and hot, with cities like Quetta, Turbat, Gwadar, Khuzdar, and Zhob affected.
Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas, will see persistently high temperatures and dry weather conditions. KP will experience hot and dry conditions, with possible isolated rainfall and thunderstorms in Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Shangla, Malakand, Abbottabad, and Kurram from June 2 to 6.
Meanwhile, GB and AJK are likely to see partly cloudy skies with occasional rain, thunder, and gusty winds in areas like Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Muzaffarabad, and Mirpur up to June 7.
The National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) under NDMA has issued an impact-based weather advisory, urging provincial and district authorities to stay alert and ensure readiness.
The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel, particularly to mountainous or flood-prone areas, and to secure vulnerable structures, trees, power lines, and solar panels. Farmers are advised to protect crops from potential storm damage, and tourists are cautioned to be careful during outdoor and highland trips.
