In another tragic incident of honor killing in Punjab, a young couple was gunned down within the confines of a mosque. This unfortunate event occurred in Lilla Town, a suburban area of Pind Dadan Khan.
The victims, a 22-year-old husband and his 21-year-old wife, had defied the wishes of the girl’s family by marrying each other. They had recently been invited by the wife’s family in an attempt to reconcile their differences. However, upon arriving at the family’s residence, they sensed imminent danger.

Fearing for their lives, they sought refuge in a nearby mosque, hoping for safety within its sacred walls. Regrettably, the girl’s family disregarded the sanctity of the mosque and entered through a window, fatally shooting the couple.
Local law enforcement was alerted by concerned citizens, and they transported the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem examination. An initial police report (First Information Report – FIR) was filed based on the victim’s mother’s complaint. The police have initiated an investigation and are conducting raids to apprehend the suspects.
