KARACHI – A tragic incident unfolded in the Ittehad Town area of Karachi as a man, invoking honor, shot and killed his younger brother and sister-in-law.
According to rescue sources, the elder brother resorted to deadly violence during a dispute in their residence in Jeddah Hazara Colony, Ittehad Town. Both victims, the younger brother, Ibrahim, and the sister-in-law, Shakeela, lost their lives in the altercation.

Local law enforcement swiftly intervened, transferring the victims’ bodies to a hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Keamari Arif Aslam Rao revealed that the elder brother targeted his sister-in-law in the name of honor. Tragically, Ibrahim, the deceased brother, attempted to shield his wife and, in doing so, became a victim of the gunfire.
The police report indicates that the deceased hailed from Swat, while the accused remained at the scene after committing the heinous act.
This incident is a stark reminder of the persisting issues of honor-based violence and the need for ongoing efforts to combat such practices.
