The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) reported that two terrorists, suspected of entering Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were killed in an exchange of fire near Bhakkar. The confrontation occurred when CTD and security personnel attempted to intercept the terrorists, who responded by opening fire on the CTD team. In the ensuing exchange, both terrorists were fatally shot.
CTD officials stated that the slain terrorists were allegedly involved in an attack on a sensitive installation. Efforts to identify the deceased individuals are underway, with indications that they were affiliated with a banned organization.
