The announcement comes shortly after the passing of Akira Toriyama, the visionary creator of Dragon Ball, on March 1. The theme park serves as a tribute to his enduring legacy and is poised to bring his fantastical universe to life in an immersive setting.

Manga and anime enjoy immense popularity in Saudi Arabia, with an estimated 13 million enthusiasts in the kingdom and approximately 85 million across the Arab world, according to Manga Productions.

Spanning over 500,000 square meters, the Dragon Ball theme park will recreate iconic locales from the series, including Kame House and Capsule Corporation. It aims to rival renowned entertainment destinations like Disney World, offering over 30 attractions and themed hotels and restaurants.

With five state-of-the-art rides and immersive experiences for visitors of all ages, the theme park celebrates the global impact of Dragon Ball, which has been influential since its serialization in 1984.

The project underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to entertainment and tourism, positioning the country as a leading destination for fans of manga and anime while honoring the legacy of Akira Toriyama’s groundbreaking creation.
