The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has conducted a recent operation targeting individuals involved in facilitating Afghan nationals with Pakistani documentation. In this operation, 16 individuals, including three Assistant Directors of Passport and Immigration and four officers of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), were apprehended.
The operation aimed to dismantle an international racket engaged in the illicit issuance of Pakistani passports and identity cards to Afghan citizens. The arrests were made by the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle in Islamabad, targeting key individuals, including Assistant Directors, agents, and Afghan nationals involved in the illegal scheme.

Additionally, another operation targeted individuals within Nadra suspected of preparing identity cards based on fraudulent documents. Four officers and agents of Nadra were arrested in this operation.
The operation was conducted based on complaints from Nadra and the Passport and Immigration Directorate in Islamabad. The investigation remains active, with authorities anticipating further raids and arrests to apprehend other individuals involved in the illegal issuance of Pakistani documentation to Afghan nationals.
