63,000+ Pilgrims Chosen for Hajj 2024 from Pakistan

The announcement of the results for the Hajj 2024 government scheme by Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Aneeq Ahmed, has brought anticipation and hope for aspiring pilgrims. Out of a staggering 69,438 applicants, a substantial 63,805 individuals have emerged as fortunate recipients through the draw.

Minister Aneeq Ahmed shared these pivotal outcomes during a press conference hosted in Karachi. He also acknowledged a waiting list comprising 5,633 applicants organized by their departure cities, offering them an opportunity if selected candidates opt out. Consistent updates regarding this process will be disseminated through messages, websites, and a dedicated application.

Applications for the sponsorship scheme continue to remain open until the conclusion of December 31. A notable statistic revealed that 56 percent of the applicants are women, emphasizing a strong interest in the pilgrimage. The ministry upholds a steadfast commitment to ensuring equity and transparency throughout the selection procedure.

Furthermore, to enhance the pilgrimage experience, Minister Aneeq unveiled plans for new temporary Hajj facilities in Pakistan. Pilgrims are set to receive suitcases equipped with QR codes to bolster security measures. Moreover, women pilgrims will be offered complimentary Pakistani flag-themed abayas and a 7GB data card, aimed at augmenting their overall journey of Hajj.
