Islamabad: The federal government has approved the deployment of army and civil armed forces to maintain security during the upcoming by-elections on November 23.
Officials stated that the security personnel will be stationed at polling stations, sensitive areas, and major transport routes to ensure peaceful voting. The decision aims to prevent any untoward incidents and facilitate a free and fair election process.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) welcomed the move, emphasizing that collaboration with security forces is essential to uphold transparency, law, and order during elections. Citizens are encouraged to exercise their voting rights responsibly while adhering to election rules.
