Three Pakistanis Die In Tragic Road Accident In Saudi Arabia

A tragic incident in Saudi Arabia claimed the lives of three Pakistanis from Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The victims, Mushtaq Ahmed, Imdad Ullah, and Bakht Muneer Khan, sustained severe injuries in the crash. Rescue teams reached the scene promptly and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, but all three later succumbed to their wounds.

The deceased were residents of Kakad locality, with two of them being cousins. All belonged to the same village. Their bodies were transported back to Pakistan, where funeral prayers were held in Kakad. Hundreds of mourners attended as the victims were laid to rest in the ancestral graveyard amid emotional scenes.

This tragic loss comes shortly after another incident involving Pakistani pilgrims. On July 26, 2025, seven Pakistani Umrah pilgrims from a single family in Buner, including four children, were killed in a separate traffic accident in Saudi Arabia. Five other family members were injured.

Authorities have urged Pakistani pilgrims and travelers to exercise extra caution on the roads, especially during long journeys in Saudi Arabia. Road safety campaigns and awareness initiatives have been emphasized to prevent further casualties.

Notably, just a week prior, at least 45 Indian pilgrims died when their bus collided with a diesel tanker near Medina. The bus was traveling from Mecca to Medina when the accident occurred, highlighting the risks faced by travelers during the pilgrimage season.

The deaths of three Pakistanis in Upper Dir have shocked their community and highlighted the continuing concerns about road safety for overseas travelers. Families, local officials, and authorities are calling for stricter measures to ensure safer travel and reduce the risk of such tragic accidents in the future.

The incident is a somber reminder of the hazards faced by pilgrims and travelers, emphasizing the importance of vigilance, proper road regulations, and emergency preparedness abroad.
