Pakistan Railways has announced a major price cut for its high-end travel services, offering passengers significant savings. According to officials, Pakistan Railways Reduces Luxury Saloon Fares By Up to Rs. 328,000 under a new pricing structure aimed at encouraging more people to use premium rail facilities.
The decision comes after a recent review of operational costs and passenger demand. The ministry noted that the luxury saloons were used mostly by government officials and private groups, but the previous fares were too high for the general public. By lowering prices, the department hopes to increase bookings and improve revenue.
Under the revised structure, private saloon fares have been reduced for long-distance routes. In some cases, Pakistan Railways Reduces Luxury Saloon Fares By Up to Rs. 328,000, making the service more accessible for families, corporate groups, and tourists. The luxury saloons offer separate bedrooms, a kitchen, a lounge area, and attached bathrooms, giving passengers a comfortable travel experience.
Officials explained that the aim is to make the railway system more efficient and competitive. They added that lower fares will attract more customers, especially during peak holiday seasons. The department believes that the new pricing will also support local tourism, as travelers now have a more affordable luxury travel option.
The ministry clarified that the fare cuts apply to selected routes and saloon types. Standard train classes will continue to operate with normal pricing. However, authorities are considering further changes if passenger response remains positive.
Railway officials stressed that the step reflects the governmentโs broader plan to modernize the rail network. They believe the decision will improve customer satisfaction and increase the use of premium services. By reducing costs, the railways aim to rebuild trust and provide safer, cleaner, and more reliable transportation.
With this move, Pakistan Railways Reduces Luxury Saloon Fares By Up to Rs. 328,000, signaling a shift toward passenger-friendly policies and improved service delivery. The department hopes that the updated fares will draw more people to choose rail travel over other costly transport options.
