The UAE celebrated its 54th National Day with heartfelt messages of unity, gratitude, and national pride from its leadership. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed shared a warm message acknowledging the contributions of citizens and residents toward the country’s ongoing development. He said the collective efforts of families and communities continue to strengthen the UAE and support its journey of progress.
In his national address, Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the importance of future generations in building a modern and innovative UAE. He emphasized that the nation’s identity, values, ethics, and Arabic language must be preserved. According to him, this responsibility belongs not only to individuals but also to key institutions, especially those working in education, cultural development, and social guidance.
He urged schools, cultural bodies, and development institutions to prioritize the moral and ethical development of young people. Strengthening the character of the youth, he said, is essential for ensuring long-term national progress.
Sheikh Mohamed also reflected on the significance of December 2, describing it as a defining moment in the country’s history. He said Eid Al Etihad is a time to celebrate unity, honor the past, and renew the commitment to building a brighter future. He reaffirmed the country’s pledge to continue working with dedication so the UAE remains a nation known for excellence, ambition, and purpose — just as envisioned by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Dubai’s Ruler, Prime Minister, and Vice-President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also shared a message on the occasion. He extended warm congratulations to the President, the rulers of all emirates, and the people of the UAE. In his message, he remembered the founding fathers who created a unique model of unity in 1971.
He noted that the legacy of Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid, and their fellow leaders continues to inspire new generations. Their vision, he said, lives on through the achievements and values upheld by the people of the nation today.
