PESHAWAR โ A deadly bomb blast in Dera Ismail Khan has killed three police officers, targeting law enforcement once again in the region.
The attack took place in Pinyala police jurisdiction when an explosive device hit a police vehicle. ASI Gul Alam, Constable Rafiq, and driver Sakhi Jan were martyred. Police immediately sealed the area, conducted intensive searches, and set up multiple checkpoints to secure the region.
This incident follows another deadly attack on November 20, 2025, when a landmine exploded near a police armored vehicle in Kalachi, D.I. Khan, killing two officers. The repeated attacks highlight ongoing threats to law enforcement personnel in northwestern Pakistan.
KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi strongly condemned the bomb blast, calling it โextremely regrettable and utterly condemnable.โ He instructed the Inspector General of Police to submit an immediate report and vowed that the perpetrators would face justice. Afridi added, โSuch cowardly attacks cannot weaken our resolve or morale.โ
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also denounced the attack, paying tribute to the fallen officers. He expressed condolences to the families of the martyred officers and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. Naqvi also remembered officers Saif-ur-Rahman and Ramzan, who died in the previous bomb blast in the region.
Authorities have pledged to intensify security operations to eliminate threats to law enforcement. Police and military teams continue to search for those responsible for the bomb blast.
