Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt reflects on the emotional and mental challenges he faced during his prolonged legal battles. Speaking on a recent podcast, the Sanju star discussed the impact of his five-year prison sentence for firearms offences linked to the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
“Sanjay Dutt reflects on the fact that my father and sisters were being threatened. They claimed I had a gun, but it was never proven,” he said during his appearance on The Himanshu Mehta Show. He expressed frustration over the decades-long legal process, adding that it should not have taken 25 years to determine his status in the TADA Act or the bomb blast case.
Despite the hardships, Sanjay Dutt reflects on his prison time as a period of personal growth. “I learned a lot. I learned the laws of the land, and even how to be a prosecutor and a defence lawyer. I read many books, prayed, meditated, and faced my jail time with dignity,” he shared.
He emphasized that the experience, though difficult, helped him gain resilience and a deeper understanding of life. The actor highlighted that reading and introspection became crucial tools during his time in prison.
Currently, Sanjay Dutt is preparing for the release of his upcoming action film, Dhurandhar, which is set to hit theaters on December 5. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film, which promises thrilling action sequences.
