Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Asim Munir has said that Pakistan aims for stability and regional harmony but warned that the country will not tolerate any threat to its sovereignty. Speaking during a high-level ceremony, he stated that “Pakistan is peaceful, but anyone testing its resolve will face consequences: CDF Asim Munir.” His remarks came at a time when security challenges in the region continue to evolve.
General Munir emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation. He said the military has taken major steps to strengthen internal security and improve border management. According to him, the country seeks peace with all neighbors, but this desire should not be mistaken for weakness. He repeated that “Pakistan is peaceful, but anyone testing its resolve will face consequences: CDF Asim Munir.”
He also highlighted the sacrifices of security personnel who have played a vital role in countering terrorism. General Munir praised the resilience of the Pakistani people and said unity is essential for long-term peace. He added that economic progress and national security are closely linked, and stability cannot be achieved without strong institutions.
The CDF called on regional powers to avoid actions that could increase tensions. He said cooperation, not confrontation, is the only way forward. The armed forces, he added, will continue to support the government’s efforts to maintain peace at home and abroad. General Munir stressed that Pakistan’s defensive capabilities have improved significantly due to modern training and upgraded equipment.
Officials attending the event appreciated the military’s commitment to protecting national interests. They said the message delivered by the CDF was clear: Pakistan wants peaceful relations but remains ready to respond to any provocation.

General Munir concluded by saying that Pakistan will keep working for regional peace and stability while ensuring its national security remains uncompromised.
