Senior PML-N leader Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has accused former prime minister Imran Khan and retired intelligence official Lt Gen Faiz Hameed of causing serious damage to national institutions. According to Chaudhry, this alleged collaboration influenced government functions and weakened trust in official processes. He claimed that hidden support networks were now becoming visible, and the public could clearly see “who backed whom” during the unrest. However, he insisted that accountability must follow legal procedures and avoid political victimization.
PTI leaders, in response, denied all allegations. They said the government was trying to divert attention from economic problems and rising inflation. They argued that there was no proof of any political partnership involving state officials, and they accused the government of misusing state media to build a narrative. PTI representatives said the party had always acted within the law and had no secret alliance with any institution.
