Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday said the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on addressing both internal and external challenges. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) shared the statement.
The remarks came during his visit to the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons. There, he was briefed on operational readiness and initiatives to enhance combat preparedness.
During the visit, the Field Marshal observed a field training exercise and an advanced simulator training facility. He praised the formations for their professionalism and high state of readiness.
Highlighting the importance of modern warfare, he noted that agility, precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making are key for success. He stressed that the Pakistan Army is fully focused on these requirements to meet contemporary threats.
While interacting with officers and soldiers, Field Marshal Munir lauded their morale and dedication to national security. He emphasized rigorous, mission-oriented training to counter hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements targeting national stability.
Upon his arrival in Gujranwala, the COAS and CDF was received by the Corps Commander. His visit reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to internal and external security.
Earlier, Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry highlighted foreign-based social media accounts spreading fake propaganda against Pakistan. These accounts, operated from abroad, aim to incite violence and manipulate political narratives inside the country. Some Baloch separatist accounts from Europe were cited as influencing local politics.
The COAS’s visit and ISPR’s statements underline that the Pakistan Army remains vigilant and fully focused on national security. The leadership continues to enhance operational readiness while addressing emerging threats both inside and outside the country.
