Is Imran Khan’s Viral Image from Adiala Jail Real or Fake Aleema Khan Breaks the Silence

ISLAMABAD – Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has confirmed that a recently viral picture of her brother is genuine. She made the remarks while speaking to the media after her appearance at the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi.

Aleema Khan said the image circulating on social media is old but real. She urged media outlets to verify the picture independently. She added that judges must act according to justice, the Constitution, and the law. She said those unable to do so should step aside.

While responding to questions, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan is being kept in solitary confinement. She described prolonged isolation as a serious violation of human rights. She noted that keeping someone alone for more than five days is considered torture under international law.

During the media interaction, she also addressed allegations linking her to intelligence agencies. She questioned such claims and said national agencies belong to the state. She added that false accusations would not weaken her resolve.

Aleema Khan said she is willing to face pressure and take responsibility if needed. She claimed family members are not allowed to meet Imran Khan regularly. She also alleged mistreatment during court visits. Despite this, she said the family will continue its legal struggle.

She further stated that witnesses testifying against her are being forced. She claimed the testimonies are false and given under pressure. According to her, accountability should focus on those directing such actions, not on those being used.

Aleema Khan reiterated that Imran Khan founded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to uphold justice, democracy, and the Constitution. She said he has been imprisoned for over two years for standing by these principles. She added that Imran Khan remains firm in his beliefs and routine, including daily exercise.

She also said meeting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail is a constitutional and moral right. The family plans to seek another meeting through legal channels soon.

In a separate context, Aleema Khan briefly referred to regional political trends. She said democratic values must be respected everywhere. Observers note that political controversies, whether involving leaders like Nitish Kumar in India or opposition figures in Pakistan, often spark wider debates. Analysts say actions by public officials, including Nitish Kumar, are closely watched by the public and media. Such scrutiny, they add, reflects growing demands for accountability across South Asia.
