NEW DELHI (AP) — The cricket boards of archrivals Pakistan and India agreed on a location for the much-anticipated World Cup encounter, but it is now likely that the event would be delayed.
According to reports in the Indian media, the match between the two teams will most likely be rescheduled owing to Navratri, an annual Hindu festival.

The Navratri holiday will be celebrated across Gujarat, according to reports, and security agencies have requested the Indian cricket board to reschedule the high-octane game.
Meanwhile, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has issued a letter inviting the organisations hosting the big event’s matches to a conference on July 27 in New Delhi. The board may advise members of the security concerns surrounding Ahmedabad during the meeting, as well as finalize a new date for the highly awaited showdown.
The Men in Green will face the Indian team on October 15 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams will meet in an ODI for the eighth time, with the last meeting taking place four years ago, when the Men in Blue won by 89 runs.
