JI To Hold Protest Sit-Ins in Karachi Starting Tomorrow

JI announces plans for protest sit-ins starting Friday evening at 4:00 PM, according to Secretary Taufeequddin Siddiqui. The demonstrations aim to highlight traffic safety issues and city infrastructure concerns.

Protests will take place at several key locations across the city. These include Star Gate Shahrah-e-Faisal, M.A. Jinnah Road, University Road, Dawood Chowrangi, Korangi Crossing, Noorani Kabab House Chowrangi, Tibet Centre, Mosmiyat, Power House Chowrangi, Hub River Road, Paracha Chowk Shershah, Dolmen Mall Hyderi, North Nazimabad, Liaquatabad 10, Sohrab Goth, and Orangi Town number 5.

JI official Taufeequddin Siddiqui said the party is protesting against accidents caused by dumpers and tankers, as well as plundering under the guise of e-challan enforcement. He emphasized that the increasing number of deaths due to heavy traffic in the city is unacceptable.

โ€œWe are protesting against the governmentโ€™s callous attitude and the devastated infrastructure of the city,โ€ Siddiquddin added. The sit-ins are meant to pressure authorities to improve road safety and enforce stricter traffic regulations.

The party has called on citizens to join the protests peacefully while maintaining order. JI announces these actions as part of a broader campaign to raise awareness about urban traffic challenges and demand accountability from the government.

Authorities have been notified of the planned protests, and traffic management measures are expected at the listed locations. Citizens are advised to take alternative routes to avoid congestion during the sit-ins.

This initiative marks a significant escalation in public activism related to traffic safety. JI announces these sit-ins as a direct response to growing public concern over city accidents and infrastructure neglect.

The protests are expected to continue until authorities respond to the partyโ€™s demands, highlighting the urgency of addressing traffic hazards and improving city road management.
