A local court in Lahore on Friday questioned Pakistani YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, during a hearing linked to the apps promotion case.
The proceedings took place at the Lahore District Courts. The court was hearing his request for the release of seized belongings. These items were taken during investigations into the apps promotion case related to alleged promotion of gambling applications.
Ducky Bhai appeared in person before the court. The judge reviewed the status of the investigation and questioned recent activity on his YouTube channel.
During the hearing, the court noted that the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency had no objection to releasing 19 seized items. These included accessories and other non-digital belongings.
However, the investigating officer informed the court that forensic analysis was still underway. Three mobile phones and one laptop belonging to Ducky Bhai are being examined. Due to this, access to the YouTube channel could not be restored.
The court remarked that the YouTube channel was no longer considered his property. It added that the channel had already been blocked under legal procedures.
An assistant director of the Federal Investigation Agency told the court that three videos were uploaded on the channel. The court questioned the timing of these uploads, given the ongoing apps promotion case.
In response, Ducky Bhai stated that the uploaded videos did not generate any revenue. He explained that the content was shared without monetisation enabled.
The judge expressed concern over why the videos were uploaded at all. The court pointed out that the channel was not under his control at the time.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court adjourned the hearing until December 22, 2025. Further directions are expected after the forensic reports are completed.
It is important to note that Ducky Bhai resumed YouTube activity after securing bail in the apps promotion case. He began uploading vlogs shortly after his release.
His first vlog after bail attracted massive attention online. The video reportedly crossed more than 150 million views in a short time.
This led to widespread speculation on social media about possible earnings. However, officials maintain that financial aspects remain under investigation.
The case continues as authorities examine digital evidence and online activity linked to the matter.
