Several FIA officers have faced disciplinary actions for corruption, misuse of authority, and illegal activities, according to an official statement. Penalties include dismissal, demotion, and withholding of promotions.
Three FIA officersโInspector Fakhar Abbas, Constable Ghulam Mustafa, and ASI Ahsan Miskeenโwere dismissed from service. Inspector Fakhar Abbas and Constable Ghulam Mustafa were removed for conducting an illegal raid and engaging in extortion. ASI Ahsan Miskeen was sacked for allegedly receiving money from a passenger at Sialkot Airport.
In other actions, Inspector Fahad Iqbal received a two-year promotion ban for granting illegal immigration clearance at Islamabad Airport. Similarly, Sub-Inspector Kiran Fareed was penalized with a one-year promotion ban for the same type of violation.
Sub-Inspector Tanzil Rasool was demoted to the rank of ASI for illegal immigration clearance at Karachi Airport. Additionally, Sub-Inspector Wasim Ubaid received a two-year promotion ban for facilitating unlawful immigration at Sialkot Airport.
DG FIA Riffat Mukhtar emphasized accountability and strict compliance with professional standards. โCorruption and misuse of authority will not be tolerated,โ he said, adding that there is no place in the FIA for officers involved in negligence or illegal activities.
These measures reflect the FIAโs ongoing efforts to maintain discipline within the force. Mukhtar also stated that all FIA officers must adhere to legal and ethical standards to uphold public trust and the agencyโs integrity.
Authorities confirmed that further monitoring and evaluations will continue across all FIA departments. The disciplinary actions are part of a broader initiative to ensure transparency and prevent misconduct within the organization.
Officials assured the public that these steps are necessary to maintain accountability and that any FIA officers found violating laws or regulations will face strict consequences.
