Is Gold Getting Cheaper in Pakistan See Today’s Rates

ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Tuesday following a significant decline in the international market. The drop has affected investors and jewelers, creating uncertainty in the local market.

According to reports, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs10,700, settling at Rs459,462. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold fell by Rs9,174, reaching Rs393,914. Globally, gold prices fell by $107, bringing the international rate to $4,371 per ounce, with an additional $20 premium.

Market analysts attribute the decline to fluctuations in international bullion rates. They say global economic conditions, including currency movements and investor sentiment, are influencing local gold prices in Pakistan. The ongoing volatility has made it challenging for jewelers to set consistent rates for customers.

The recent decline also affected silver prices. Silver per tola dropped by Rs145, closing at Rs7,930. Experts note that both precious metals are closely linked to global trends, and sudden swings can impact the domestic market rapidly.

Investors and traders are advised to monitor international markets closely before making purchasing decisions. The decrease in gold prices provides short-term buying opportunities for consumers but may raise caution among traders seeking stable returns.

In the coming days, market watchers expect gold prices to remain sensitive to global developments. Any further dip in international bullion or shifts in the U.S. dollar could influence local rates. Analysts urge both investors and jewelers to adopt a cautious approach in this volatile period.
