Canada Reopens Express Entry Here’s How Pakistanis Can Get a Path to PR

Skilled workers from Pakistan now have a fresh opportunity to build a future abroad. Canada has officially reactivated its Express Entry immigration system. The move opens doors for qualified professionals seeking permanent residency through a transparent and merit-based process.

Immigration experts describe Express Entry as one of the most organized systems in the world. It allows skilled individuals to live and work legally in Canada. The program offers access to quality education, modern healthcare, and stable career growth.

The system is managed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It evaluates candidates based on education, work experience, skills, and language ability. Applicants are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System, also known as CRS.

Express Entry is not a visa. It is an online platform that manages three major federal immigration programs.

The Canadian Experience Class is for people with skilled work experience in Canada. Applicants need at least one year of experience gained in the past three years. A job offer is not mandatory.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program targets professionals with foreign education and work experience. Applicants must have at least one year of skilled work experience from the past ten years. Minimum secondary education is required. Higher education increases CRS points.

The Federal Skilled Trades Program focuses on technical workers. It includes trades linked to construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and utilities. Applicants need two years of experience in the last five years. A Canadian job offer or trade certification is required.

All work experience must fall under Canada’s National Occupational Classification system. This system categorizes jobs based on duties and skill levels.

Applicants must create an online profile. They provide details about education, language test results, and work history. Profiles enter a pool and receive CRS scores.

IRCC regularly conducts invitation rounds. Candidates with the highest scores receive invitations to apply. Selected applicants submit documents for final approval.

The Express Entry fee is CAD 1,525 per adult applicant. The same fee applies to spouses. A fee of CAD 260 is charged per child.

Applicants must pass an approved English or French language test. They must also meet medical and security requirements. Express Entry does not apply to Quebec, which has its own system.

A CRS calculator is available online. It helps applicants estimate scores and improve profiles. The reopening of Express Entry offers a strong chance for skilled professionals to secure a stable future abroad.
