The Sindh government has approved the creation of 8,049 new posts in the School Education and Literacy Department for 2026.
An official letter was issued to the Section Officer (Secondary-I) of the education department confirming the appointments.

The new positions cover various administrative and academic levels.
The approved strength includes 44 posts of Chief Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-20), 593 posts of Senior Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-19), 1,444 posts of Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-18), and 5,968 posts of Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-17).

The move is part of reforms by the education department to strengthen school leadership and management.
Officials say these appointments will improve supervision and enhance the quality of education across Sindh.

Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah highlighted the governmentโ€™s commitment to modernizing the province through strategic initiatives.
He pointed to milestones in infrastructure, energy, innovation, and environmental sustainability achieved through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

The announcement coincided with the Commercial Operations Date of the Nabisarโ€“Vajihar Water Supply Project.
The CM also noted the execution of the concession agreement for the NED Science & Technology Park and the signing of an MoU for the TP-IV Wastewater Treatment Project.
Together, these projects represent investments exceeding $740 million.

The Chief Minister said these initiatives show the provinceโ€™s commitment to sustainable development and innovation.
He added that strengthening public services, including the education department, is central to improving citizen welfare.

Provincial ministers, special assistants, the Mayor of Karachi, EnerTech executives, and diplomats attended the ceremony.
Officials noted that these reforms, along with the new appointments, will ensure better administration and enhanced teaching standards in schools.

The Sindh education department emphasized that the creation of new posts aligns with the governmentโ€™s long-term strategy.
It aims to promote accountability, leadership, and quality education across the province for the 2026 academic year.
