Nasir Shah Says Sindh Government Approved PTI Gathering Outside Bagh-e-Jinnah

The Sindh government has allowed the PTI gathering to be held outside Bagh-e-Jinnah, provincial Local Government Minister Nasir Shah said on Saturday. The venue is under federal control, and authorities have consented to PTI’s public meeting there.

Nasir Shah emphasized that the PTI gathering must be peaceful and free from extremism or offensive language. “Any act in a democratic manner will not be prevented by the People’s Party,” he added, stressing the importance of peaceful conduct.

The minister also highlighted that the Sindh government is providing full support and facilities to visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. “The PTI has been advised to avoid gatherings on main roads. They have reviewed their plans and agreed to follow these guidelines,” Nasir Shah explained.

The provincial minister further suggested that PTI gatherings in February should be carefully planned to avoid inconveniencing their own supporters. He added, “The PTI has a future if it engages in peaceful politics.”

Sohail Afridi arrived in Karachi on Friday for a four-day visit as part of PTI’s street mobilisation campaign. He was welcomed at the airport by Sindh Minister for Labour, Human Resources, and Social Protection Saeed Ghani, on directives of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

During the reception, the KP chief minister and his delegation were presented with traditional Sindhi caps and Ajraks, symbolizing Sindh’s hospitality. The visit underscores PTI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its political presence in urban Sindh while maintaining peaceful interactions with local authorities.

The Sindh government’s cooperation with PTI demonstrates an attempt to ensure that public gatherings proceed safely, reflecting the importance of dialogue and coordination between political parties in the province.
