ISLAMABAD – Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has issued a final warning to director and host Yasir Nawaz, asking him to stop making disparaging comments about her in public.
The warning follows a recent episode of a popular TV show, where Yasir Nawaz appeared as a guest. During a lighthearted game segment, the host jokingly suggested that Yasir choose Alizeh Shah as his “imaginary sister.” Yasir replied, “You make her your sister, I don’t want her,” a comment that quickly went viral on social media.
In response, Alizeh Shah took to Instagram to express her displeasure. She described the post as her final warning and urged Yasir to stop mentioning her name on any platform. She highlighted that it has been five years since they last worked together, yet he continues to bring her up in talk shows.
“This is my final warning to Yasir Nawaz to refrain from taking my name on any platform. It has been five years since I worked on a project with him, yet he continues to mention my name on nearly every talk show he appears on,” Alizeh Shah wrote.
She added that while Yasir sometimes offers apologies or claims that working with her was “not fun,” this does not justify repeatedly mentioning her name. Alizeh Shah said she has documented records of every show in which he has defamed her.
Alizeh warned that if Yasir Nawaz mentions her again, she will proceed with a defamation lawsuit without further notice. “Furthermore, if this behavior continues, I will disclose to the entire industry the real reasons why he did not like working with me. Trust me, it will not reflect well on your image,” she concluded.
Fans and followers have reacted strongly to the actress’s post, praising her for standing up against public remarks. The incident has sparked discussions about professional boundaries and respect in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
