The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday confirmed Australia’s tour of Pakistan for a three-match T20 International series.
The series will be crucial for both teams ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan is in Group A, while Australia is in Group B.
As per the schedule, the Australian team will arrive in Lahore on 28 January. All matches will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium, starting 29 January, followed by games on 31 January and 1 February. Tosses for all matches are set at 5:30 pm local time.
“This series provides essential game time for our players ahead of the World Cup,” said a PCB spokesperson.
This marks Australia’s tour of Pakistan for the third time since March 2022. During that previous tour, Australia played a Test series, three ODIs, and a T20 match against Pakistan.
The two teams also faced each other in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where Australia defeated Pakistan by three wickets in a T20 match at Gaddafi Stadium.
The confirmed schedule for Australia’s tour is:
- 1st T20I – Thursday, 29 January – 6pm PKT
- 2nd T20I – Saturday, 31 January – 6pm PKT
- 3rd T20I – Sunday, 1 February – 6pm PKT
PCB officials expressed confidence that the series will boost cricketing ties and give players much-needed practice ahead of the T20 World Cup.
Fans are excited as the series marks continued cricketing engagement between Pakistan and Australia, strengthening bilateral cricketing relations after previous tours and tournaments hosted in Pakistan.
