President Zardari Honored With Bahrain’s Top Award During Key Manama Visit

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has received Bahrain’s highest civilian ** Award ** during his official visit to Manama. The honor reflects strong diplomatic ties between the two brotherly nations.

President Zardari arrived at Qasr Al-Qudaibiya, where he was welcomed with a ceremonial guard of honor. Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received him warmly. The two leaders then held a one-on-one meeting.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations. They agreed to expand cooperation across multiple sectors. The talks focused on trade, investment, defense, and regional security.

In recognition of his efforts to strengthen Pakistan-Bahrain relations, President Zardari was conferred the Order of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, First Class. This prestigious ** Award ** is Bahrain’s highest civilian honor.

Officials said the ** Award ** was given for President Zardari’s role in promoting friendship, trust, and cooperation between the two countries. It also recognizes his consistent engagement with Gulf states.

President Zardari thanked King Hamad for the honor. He described the gesture as a symbol of mutual respect. He said Pakistan values its long-standing relationship with Bahrain.

The president invited Bahraini investors to explore business opportunities in Pakistan. He highlighted sectors such as agriculture, information technology, health, tourism, and infrastructure. He said Pakistan offers a friendly investment environment.

The leaders also discussed the Pakistani community in Bahrain. More than 116,000 Pakistanis live and work in the kingdom. President Zardari thanked Bahrain for providing good facilities to Pakistani workers.

King Hamad praised the Pakistani community for its contribution to Bahrain’s development. He said Pakistanis play an important role in the kingdom’s economy and society.

Both leaders agreed to enhance cooperation at international forums. These include the United Nations and other global platforms. They emphasized coordination on regional and global issues.

King Hamad described President Zardari’s visit as a milestone. He said it would open new avenues of cooperation. President Zardari echoed these views and stressed people-to-people ties.

The visit concluded with a formal luncheon hosted in honor of President Zardari and his delegation. Officials termed the visit successful and forward-looking.
