Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the newly renovated State Lounge at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV. The event highlighted the latest upgrades to the airport’s facilities.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif attended the inauguration ceremony. The officials praised the modernization of the airport and its improved facilities for travelers.
Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, DG Pakistan Airport Authority, briefed attendees about the renovation project. He stated that several key areas at the airport had been upgraded, including the Ravi Lounge, internal lobby, main hall, and other sections.
“The State Lounge now has a modern and elegant look after renovation,” said Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed. The upgraded lounge is expected to enhance comfort and provide a premium experience for VIP travelers at the airport.
Officials highlighted that the renovation is part of a larger airport improvement plan aimed at modernizing Pakistan’s key international hubs. The upgrades focus on passenger convenience, aesthetic improvements, and better operational efficiency.
The inauguration marks an important milestone in the ongoing effort to upgrade Allama Iqbal International Airport. Authorities believe the improvements will attract more international travelers and strengthen Lahore’s position as a major air travel hub.
